I gave life to my laptop which was collecting dust

Image
This laptop ---an Asus X504U-- was my main PC since I bought it in 2017. It’s got an i7-7500U CPU, 12GB of RAM, and a SATA SSD that replaced the original hard drive. Back in 2020, after upgrading the RAM and SSD, it felt like a brand-new machine. It booted fast, apps opened instantly --honestly, it was night and day But fast-forward to 2023... Windows hit me with the dreaded infinite recovery loop. And that was it -- the laptop got shelved I didn’t need it anymore anyway, since I mostly used my desktop My desktop isn’t anything too fancy, but it’s more than capable -- Ryzen 5 5600G, 32GB of 3600 MHz RAM, an Aorus B550 Pro AX motherboard, and a Corsair 750W PSU -- basically, ready for a GPU upgrade when needed So yeah , there wasn’t much reason to fix the old laptopAt that point, it was just sitting there. So yeah, with Windows 11 not supporting the i7-7500U, there wasn’t really much I could do with it.. But instead of letting it sit there and collect dust, I figured --why n...

"Growing Apart, but Memories Stay Forever"

Image
Over the years, from our younger days all the way up to now as adults, we’ve met a lot of people. Some we called friends, some we called best friends. But as time goes by, some relationships fade away. Some friendships end due to distance, others because priorities shift. As time moves forward, you might find that, rather than being friends, you’ve become more like strangers to one another. It’s something that’s tough to face. You can’t help but feel a bit down about it. Sometimes, you catch yourself thinking: “What happened to the good old days? What happened to us?” Here’s the thing: It’s not necessarily anyone’s fault. People change. Interests change. Priorities change. And sometimes, we simply grow in different directions. The thing is, that’s okay. It’s natural. Friendships aren’t meant to stay exactly the same forever. We’re not static beings, and neither are our relationships. But here’s something to remember: when those changes happen, it doesn’t mean the friendship was a...

I started a 2nd Youtube Channel

Image
Time sure flies. It feels crazy to think that It's been almost 36 months since I decided & started making videos on my YouTube Channel. As of this writing I have made & uploaded almost a hundred (100) videos -  Ninety eight 98 to be exact on my channel. And even though I only have 112 subscribers on my little show on YouTube  despite my aspirations and goals to grow my channel to be viewed by thousands of viewers . ( or even millions if I'm not being conservative here) I'm quite proud of my video creations. I'm proud of the work I did. The time I've put in on learning on how to plan, shoot & edit videos. Proud of actually executing the things I've learned from video tutorials and by observing videos of other content creators. Proud that I have pushed my self each time to be better at making videos. Today, even though I have only 112 subscribers on my little show. I truly am thankful for those 112 ...

Starting a blog again.

Image
Just last year, I purchased a one-year hosting plan with Bluehost for ₱5,000 to host my blog. It was an experiment I was really excited to try. One year later, I canceled my account to avoid the auto-renewal, which would have billed me another ₱5,000. Just for the record: Hosting my site on Bluehost was a great experience. I had excellent control over my website, it was fast, clean, and having my own domain name was really cool. Even though it only cost around ₱5,000 per year (roughly ₱400 per month), I decided to cancel my account to allocate more funds towards content production. On top of that, I'm more of a video content creator these days than a writer. Still, I wanted to continue blogging. That’s why I decided to create a new blog on Blogger. For one – Blogger is free. In this blog, I'll try to be as real as possible. Depending on the topic, I'll also include some Tagalog lines from time to time, since I think most of the readers here will be Filipinos. ...
