Just last year, I purchased a one-year hosting plan with Bluehost for ₱5,000 to host my blog. It was an experiment I was really excited to try. One year later, I canceled my account to avoid the auto-renewal, which would have billed me another ₱5,000. Just for the record: Hosting my site on Bluehost was a great experience. I had excellent control over my website, it was fast, clean, and having my own domain name was really cool. Even though it only cost around ₱5,000 per year (roughly ₱400 per month), I decided to cancel my account to allocate more funds towards content production.
